Adore this cabin! Excellent location, super fun design, well equipped, and excellently tended. You will not be disappointed.

Muy bonita la cabaña! Esta en un lugar donde no llegan los sonidos de ciudad pero igual te queda cerca todo lo necesario. Queda cerca de un lago muy bonito y también a solo unos minutos del pueblito de Murphy. Nos gusto que hay tienda a solo unos 5 minutos y también queda cerca una tienda/panaderia donde venden donas, pays, y otros productos de manzana muy ricos. Lo que mas usamos durante nuestra estancia fue el hot tub, tiene vista espectacular y también huele super rico con el aceite de la madera.

Okay, first things first—the cedar hot tub? Life-changing, and you get to soak in it while under the stars and surrounded by pine trees. Plus, they've got these adorable yard games like cornhole, and even had a pink Christmas tree for the holiday season! The hosts seriously nailed it. The place is decked out with adorable decor, the best cookware, and really fun nostalgia vibes like a record player, VHS tapes, and a GameCube. The fireplace made it a perfect cozy cabin, especially when you're with a big group of friends. And I loved that there were enough big comfy beds and cozy seating in the living room to accommodate our girls weekend trip. We were really close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park and it was so easy to get there and take a relaxing stroll to see the giant sequoias. Another great aspect was Murphys — an adorable town with shops and restaurants just a short drive away. Oh, and I'm now a convert to the Calaveras County Winery scene... it was a great activity for an afternoon with my girls. I'm still on cloud nine from our stay, and I'm already plotting when we can go back to enjoy it in the summertime. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape reality and dive into a magical weekend.

Perfect getaway for the weekend. Will be booking again for a future getaway. This place is so cute! My favorite is the ABBA themed bathroom upstairs. I am a huge music fan and the wallpaper was everything! Such an fan of everything especially the green floors and walls. It’s so pretty! I came here for a weekend with the girls and it was honestly such a great little getaway from the city life. Everything from the dishwasher, the automatic fireplace, the record player and more was set for the perfect accommodation. I slept on the pull out green couch upstairs and let me tell you the pillows, mattress, and the comforter were comfy, slept so good. The hot tub was just right, not too hot which I enjoyed as someone who is sensitive to heat. Great location to explore and wind down. We had a great time in the little town of Murphys, the Calaveras State Park is close by as well. Also, not too far from the snow which I was excited to see. Definitely recommend this place!

The Whimsy Home cabin is the perfect girls getaway weekend! It has everything! But my favorite part of the home would be the cedar hot tub, which I could not get enough. The decor here is nothing like I’ve seen before. I really appreciate the eclectic interior design of this home because it’s fun and whimsical, a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of other cabins I’ve visited before. On top of that, the location is amazing! Tucked away in nature with amazing State parks to visit for short or longer hikes. You’re also close to towns like Murphy’s where you can do shopping at local boutiques and lots of wine tasting, which makes it a great area for doing girls weekends or bachelorette parties. Would highly recommend booking the whimsy homes for your next girls trip!

We visited with a group of friends and had a fantastic time! The cabin is so cute, so many fun and thoughtful touches (thank you having the Guava Lotus travel crib and the high chair)! We had a great time exploring the area, my son especially liked exploring Big Trees State Park, this is the perfect place to stay with a baby or toddler!

I got to visit this new cabin in Arnold as a preview before it launched and was blown away by this place. The owners are super thoughtful and thought of everything a guest needs, from multiple ways to make coffee, plenty of towels, and a ton of cool amenities like a record player and corn hole. I can't wait to come back to this cute little cabin rental in Arnold!!
